FAQ

Can anyone take singing lessons?Absolutely! I am able to teach complete beginners up to advanced singers; I will base my lessons from your experience. I teach all ages and no prior experience with vocal coaching is required. Whether you are looking to improve technique to prepare for auditions or looking for a hobby to express yourself, you are always welcome in my studio.

Do you have to have singing lessons to be a good singer?Singing lessons are beneficial for all singers. Natural talent is amazing, but it is my job to help you use your talent in a healthy way and to teach you useful techniques. These lessons will help develop the use of your voice and build stamina whilst performing. The aim is to feel relaxed without straining or potentially damaging your vocal cords, regardless of your range and tone.

What do I need to do online lessons? All you need is a device to call me on, a device to play music and the lyrics for each song you learn. It is important for the connection to remain stable throughout so that I am able to listen clearly and also see you in order to advise you with certain techniques.

Is there anything I can do to help me sing more in tune?Yes of course! I do a lot of ear training to work on pitch and to overcome flat notes with my clients. I will share some exercises with you to practice outside of lessons, and with time and practice you will be able to recognise each note with ease.

How long will I have to do singing lessons for? There is not a time frame or a curriculum to complete when learning how to sing. Everyone has different goals and abilities, but ultimately is up to you to decide how often you have lessons and for how long. There is always something to learn even as a professional singer, and remember consistency is key to progressing. When you are learning how to sing, it is similar to exercising and building muscle; progress doesn't happen overnight, but 6 months later you will see significant changes in comparison to when you first started.
