About
Ellie Lowe

I'm a professional singer, performer and vocal coach, and I am also a songwriter and aspiring producer. I have always been musically inclined; at the young age of 2 I had learnt all of the lyrics and was singing along to "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera. At 6 years old, I taught myself how to play "A Whole New World" on a small keyboard just by listening to the music. From here, I went on to achieve Grade 2 in keyboard, yet I decided that I wanted to explore my singing talent alongside this.

Timeline of my vocal journey:

2013: I began singing lessons with Jessica Richardson (The Vocal Studio). Having singing lessons helped me become more confident as a singer, and helped me strengthen my vocal ability. I also got the opportunity to perform with other singers at the studio at various singers nights as well as local pubs.

2014-2015: Alongside my singing lessons, I was able to improve on my songwriting skills. In this time, I wrote and recorded vocals for many original songs and was lucky enough to be able to collaborate with producers and musicians. During this time I was also studying music at GCSE level, where we had to produce basic compositions and perform for graded exams. The performance and creative aspect of the exams was really useful for me to develop my craft as a vocalist, and although the theory and written exam was challenging it helped to further my understanding of different musical elements across various periods of time.

2016: I auditioned for a local talent show called "Factor Essex" and made it as a finalist. The exposure of performing on a stage in front of judges was very daunting at such a young age, but gave me an insight as to how I could develop further as a performer, and I soon realised that this was exactly what I wanted to do. After the competition, I was asked to form a three-piece girlband.

2016-2018:

D'LuXE

I was part of girlband D'LuXE for 2 years. During my time in the girlband, we travelled to Ibiza to film a music video, released multiple singles and an album which reached #22 in the iTunes pop charts. We also performed across the country at charity events such as "SNAP!" and other events like the "Ideal Home Show" and "Westfield Presents". Throughout the 2 years, we won awards for best group, best original song and more. Throughout this journey, I developed as a performer and excelled in collaborating with others whilst on stage. It pushed me out of my comfort zone in regards to stage presence and choreography, but ultimately shaped me as a vocalist and allowed me to blossom into a confident young women. It also allowed me to begin my journey with live performances and professional paid gigs, and taught me some very valuable lessons along the way.
GCSEs

In 2017, I completed my GCSEs with 5 A's 3 B's (achieved B grade in Music) and 2 C's. I also started A Levels where I took BTEC Music as a subject, alongside Sociology and English Literature. Despite choosing a combination of unrelated subjects, each one allowed me to grow in different ways. BTEC Music was essential for me to expand my collaboration skills and creativity, English Literature developed my ability to interpret both prose and poetry which improved my songwriting, and Sociology furthered my understanding of challenges within society and allowed me to approach situation with compassion and awareness.

Work Experience

In 2018, I did some work experience at SAFO Music Group (previously named Charthouse) where I improved my marketing skills for social media and also created original songs with a team of producers and songrwriters. Alongside this, I was also writing with the girlband in studio settings whilst gaining exposure to production techniques.

2019:

D'LuXE

D'LuXE girlband parted ways with our management team and we rebranded as Third Avenue. However, we decided to move on in different directions in order to pursue solo careers. This was life changing for me as I had grown accustomed to performing with others, and I doubted my ability to continue in the industry alone. In spite of this, I was able to take the leap and grew in confidence over time, and took this as an opportunity to work even harder than before.

A Levels

I was awarded a Distinction* for my BTEC Music course, and won an award for "Vocalist of the Year". I also achieved a B grade in Sociology and a C grade in English Literature.

Vocal Coaching

I received training from Jessica Richardson to become a vocal coach where I was taught Estill vocal coaching techniques and the anatomy of the voice. Learning to sing as opposed to learning how to teach others to sing was extremely important to me, and I was able to assess various singing styles whilst learning how I could help others to overcome challenges that each individual may face. My first job as a qualified vocal coach was at DanceWorld Studios in October 2019-February 2020, which kick started my career in this profession. With this experience, I soon found my unique teaching style to pair with my extensive knowledge of the voice.

Solo Singing Career

I have been gigging professionally as a solo artist since November 2019 at restaurants, pubs, private events and more, and I have also performed at Christmas shows and other events. I expanded my repertoire during this time, allowing me to perform in various settings and appeal to all audiences.

2020- Present Day:

School Work

I began teaching students at Emerson Park Academy in March 2o2o before the COVID-19 lockdown, where I was able to work with GCSE students on composition work and also preparing for graded performances. I also participated and assisted with a choir group practice during the school's lunch time and helped others with harmony work and collaborating with their peers. Although this was short lived due to the pandemic, I was able to gain more exposure as a vocal coach.

Online Lessons

I was very fortunate to be able to teach my clients online throughout the lockdown period, and although in person lessons are preferred I am still open to teaching online upon request. Despite the pandemic being a difficult and scary time for most, I am grateful that I was able to expand my business with the power of social media, and allowed me to increase my clientele to the point where I could open my very own studio.

Studio

In October 2020, I was able to find a studio of my own, which I have spent time renovating and creating a modern yet warm and inviting environment. The studio is a calm, welcoming atmosphere and a judgement free zone! Many of my clients have mentioned that they feel relaxed upon entering the room and that it allows them freedom to express themselves through singing. My main goal is to make everyone feel comfortable during their lesson, as singing in front of someone else can be quite daunting. During your lesson, you are able to use this space in any way that you would like, including recording, learning and writing. The studio has also given me the opportunity to work with new artists and experienced musicians, including punk rock band False Heads who record their demos with me.

As of September 2025, I am now teaching at my home address. I will be building a home studio over the next couple of months, but for the time being will be teaching at my home address with the same professional set up as in my previous studio!

Songwriting and Producing

Throughout the pandemic, I was given the time to write songs and also teach myself to produce on Logic Pro X, and I have fully produced and recorded vocals for multiple songs. The majority of these songs were released in 2021, including a collaboration with DJ Denis First which received 150,000 streams on Spotify. I have also been able to learn to play the guitar and to enhance my piano skills. I am now in the process of writing and recording an EP, and it is my goal to release this in the near future.

Gigs

I have been performing at various venues and events as a solo act from 2020 up until the present day. I perform at restaurants, private parties and weddings, and have built a successful business during this time with regular repeat bookings. I was fortunate enough to perform at an event for "Towie" stars Billie and Greg Shepherd in March 2024, and featured in their ITV show "The Family Diaries". Alongside my solo gigs, I have been performing in and managing a wedding band called Inspirit Showband since 2022 at weddings and luxury corporate events, including a performance at Five Zero Supercar Barn.
